Sister Swank Boutique
It’s a signature shopping experience crafted by Boutique owner, Jordan Fisher Morris.
Enter Sister Swank Boutique and expect to be treated like family, even perhaps the royal kind, as Jordan has made it her personal mission for the store to serve its customers, she says, as “the Chick-Fil-A of the boutique world.”
You’ll quickly become an engaged shopper as well as a welcomed addition to a special sisterhood that began with Jordan, who lives in Pass Christian, and the inspiration of her close-knit siblings Julianna Urbanski, also of Pass Christian, and Jillian Fisher of Diamondhead.
Sister Swank opened shop in 2013 as a traveling boutique, using Jordan’s savvy style senses to sell attractive, thrifty finds at homes and businesses across the coast. Her sisters, and mother, Lori Fisher of Pass Christian, were instrumental in the process. Their unique bond is a special ingredient for the foundation of the business.
Since securing a physical location in September 2015, Sister Swank Boutique has continued to grow, moving several times in recent years to eventually doubling its square footage in October 2019 with its new home inside the former Kewl Kites sporting goods store across from Long Beach City Hall.
The Boutique aims to offer something for everyone; stocked with an array of trendy fashion options that appeal to a variety of sizes, ages, and styles. Apparel typically runs from sizes X-Small up to 3X. The shop’s one-size cardigans and cute, cozy winter hats are top sellers this fall/winter season. And its new, colorful spring line up is already being unveiled. Shoes, handbags, jewelry, and locally handcrafted “coast life” scented candles as well as other unique gifts are also for sale. And customers always enjoy a bargain as nearly every item in the store is priced below $40.
The Boutique participates annually in the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s Shop Small Business Saturday. The special holiday shopping event happens every November on the Saturday following Black Friday to encourage shopping at local businesses. This year’s event will be held Nov. 27, 2021. As part of its Shop Small Business Saturday campaign, the Boutique hands out customer shopping bags filled with gifts and goodies from other local business owners. It’s a bonus for shoppers and a great way for small businesses to market local products and services.
Military discounts are provided by the store. And its Teacher Tuesdays held on the first Tuesday monthly offers teachers 20 percent off all merchandise in the store.
The shop also supports local animal shelters, pairing its snazzy clothing line models with adorable adoptable pets in the area for featured posts on its social media pages on Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. The Boutique even hosted its first on-site pet adoption day in 2020, and plans are underway for another.
Joining the sisterhood is easy. And not to mention, quite swanky.
Just walk into Sister Swank Boutique at 200 Jeff Davis Ave., Long Beach, Miss., between the hours of 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tues-Friday, and anytime from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
